Transport
An obvious advantage that distinguishes PRONAR’s mower PDT290 from the competition is a 3-ways transport position. The mower can be transported in the following positions: vertically at the side of a tractor, vertically at the rear of a tractor and horizontally at the rear of a tractor. A tractor’s operator chooses the most suitable transport position.
Anti-collision protection.
In a case of collision a mower is protected by a hydraulic safety device which deflects the mower backwards and lifts it up. After passing an obstacle the mover reverts to the horizontal position and the rotating servo-motor sets it to the “mow” position.

Machinery settings
With a help of adjustable hitch pins the mower is able to interact with a variety of tractor brands equipped with a 2nd or 3rd category 3 point hitch. The adjustable pins stack as well a hitch with accordance to the tractor. This solution guarantees the optimal working width so the tractor width is not an issue any more. The light-weighted mower PDT 290 is built with modern materials that besides high endurance provides the possibility of interacting with already a 44kW (60hp) power tractor.

Modern central suspension
PDT 290 mower’s central suspension
unlike a conventional side suspension distinguishes with a number of features:
Even cutterbar pressure on ground – a cutterbar pressure on ground is even thanks to the central suspension of the cutting system of a mower.
Better transverse ground hugging cut – in comparison with traditionally suspended mowers.
Optimal wheel pressure on ground – three stage regulator of antagonistic springs ensures the optimal mower pressure on ground within the range of 70 – 90 kg. Any adjustment depends on the sort of ground as well as on its topographical feature.
Wide scope of deflection – is it a feature of a highly importance when it comes to uneven and steep ground. Thanks to the center pivot suspension the mower response quicker to the changing work conditions.
Lifting the mower on the headlands and above the swath occurs with a help of a mover’s servo-motor without the need of lifting a tractor’s arm.
Drive
In the power transmission PRONAR has employed a high quality cutterbar and a transmission gear produced by the renowned Italian company. This cutterbars and transmission gear are widely used by the world-leading producers of agricultural machines.
A jointed telescopic shaft along with a friction clutch and one-way clutch transmits a drive power from the tractor to the mower central gear. The friction clutch protects the mower against the overload and the one-way clutch (a free wheel) against the violent change of the rotational speed of power take-off. With a help of a jointed telescopic shaft a drive power from the central drive gear is transmitted to the cutterbar transmission gear and subsequently through the double-coupling connecting elements to the first cutterbar’s disc. Such a drive system ensures a reliable and steady work/operations.
