Machinery setting
In order to cooperate with a front mounted disc mower a tractor needs to be equipped with a 3 point hitch and a power take-off. A hydraulic section has to be available at the front of the tractor as well. The front mounted mower possesses a hitch triangle and is fasted on the 2nd category hitch triangle placed at the front of the tractor’s 3 point hitch. A drive of the mower requires a tractor of minimum 44 kW (60 hp) power. The front mounted disc mower can be combined with a rear mounted disc mower PDT 290. The working width of such a set is 5,5 m and the min. power requirement is 66 kW (90hp).
Ground hugging cut
The front mounted disc mower has a wide range of ground hugging cuts, up to 510 mm (starting from the operational level: 270 mm upward and 240 mm downward). While hugging ground a cutterbar adjusts its position so the machine can smoothly follow the rough ups and downs. The angle ranges from =7 to -6 in relation to the ground level. This ensures not only clean and esthetic cut but also a proper quality of mowing. The parameters of the mower’s suspension are placing it among the world leading mowers.
Lifting the mower on the headlands and above the swath occurs with a help of a mover’s servo-motor without the need of lifting a tractor’s arm. The mower will be lifted at the hight of 270 mm above the ground level.
